1) First of all, choose high-quality rechargeable batteries.
Rechargeable battery is the core part of emergency lighting products. About 60% of the products with quality problems are related to the built-in rechargeable battery. Therefore, choosing high quality battery is the key to solve the problem.
Take the emergency lamp newly developed by your company as an example. The current design method is to use 3.7V lithium-ion battery. If you can use 3.2V lithium iron phosphate battery LiFePO4, it will be very beneficial to extend the service life of the product. Of course, the cost of this battery will be higher.
2) Increase battery maintenance for stock products
When all products leave the factory, each battery will be 40% - 60% charged capacity, which is for the needs of transportation safety.
After receiving the goods, your company shall recharge the storage products every 3 months. The charging time is about 12 hours each time, and 80% capacity is enough. This operation can avoid irreversible damage caused by over discharge of battery due to its self discharge characteristics.
In addition, we suggest that for products that are not used for a long time, but maintain 100% of the battery's full capacity for a long time, the charging and discharging cycle should be carried out every three months (discharge to 20% ~ 30% of the initial capacity, and start charging immediately.)
3) Considering the battery self discharge characteristics, we suggest that the purchase quantity of a single order should not exceed the total sales volume of your company every three months. In this way, we can avoid the extra workload of subsequent maintenance of the inventory products; at the same time, we can extend the service life of each product.
4) The use environment of the product should avoid the adverse factors such as extreme cold or heat, and excessive humidity.
